15 Mar 2024Annual General Meeting 2024

On 15 March 2024, the Annual General Meeting of HKCPA has been successfully held at Hong Kong Psychological Society at Hung Hom. A quorum was formed with 13 members attended in person and 8 valid proxies. 1 Honorary Member also attended the meeting. New exco-members have been elected.

Dr Eliza Cheng has left her role as the Chairperson after serving our association for 9 years. On behalf of HKCPA, Ms Yawen Chan presented a certificate of appreciation to express our sincere gratitude towards her service over the years.

15 Mar 2024Talk on “Starting Private Practice as CP” and Social Dinner

On 15 March 2024, co-organised by HKCPA and Division of Clinical Psychology of Hong Kong Psychological Society, a talk on “Starting Private Practice as CP” was held with over 35 attendees. We are honoured to have invited Ms Yawen Chan and Dr Ming Leung as guest speakers and Mr Alan Chan as facilitator.

The talk was followed by a social dinner held in King Yat Hin.

On 30 March 2021, the Annual General Meeting of HKCPA has been successfully held at Downtown KT at Kwun Tong. A quorum was formed with 9 members attended in person and 10 valid proxies. New exco-members have been elected.

20 Nov 2019 to 24 Nov 2019Gerontech and Innovation Summit 2019

Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES) 2019 will be held from 20 to 24 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this year. HKCPA will continue to be a Supporting Organisation of GIES 2019.

Through the support of different stakeholders, GIES, the only Gerontech fair in Hong Kong, has become an annual highlight for showcasing the latest innovative products and ideas of technology application in elder care. Emails will be sent to HKCPA members to promotes the event and explore their interest in participation.

16 Jul 2019 to 20 Aug 2019Understanding and Treating Sex Offenders for Medical & Helping Professionals 2019

In July to August, HKCPA and the Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong (FMSHK) have jointly organized a Certificate Course on Understanding and Treating Sex Offenders for Medical & Helping Professionals. The course has been a great success and attracted 70 attendees from different professions. We are honored to have invited Mr Michael Fung, Dr Samuel Lo and Ms Becky Tong as speakers. We'd also like to thank Ms Iris Lau for being the student helper for the course.

10 Jun 2019強積金可扣稅自願性供款計劃及合資格延期年金保單座談會

A seminar regarding the TVC (強積金可扣稅自願性供款) and QDAP(合資格延期年金保單)for civil servants organized by Hong Kong Chinese Civil Servants' Association will be held on 10 June 2019. 25 May 2019 to 20 Jul 2019Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for Health Care Professionals 靜觀減壓課程

In May to July, HKCPA and FMSHK have jointly organized a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course specifically for healthcare professionals, which attracted 29 participants. Dr Chloe Chin was our speaker who voluntarily taught the course to promote mental health. Our gratitude to Ms Kristal Wong, a volunteer student helper for her assistance throughout the course.

20 Dec 2018In the Community

On 20th December, HKCPA was invited by a student group, the Psychology Enthusiast Circle of St Paul Co-educational College, to have a lunch sharing session. Our exco member, Ms Yawen Chan, joined the sharing session on behalf of HKCPA. The study path and the career prospect of clinical psychologist were discussed during the sharing session. We're delighted to see a growing interest in joining the psychology community among students in Hong Kong.

22 Nov 2018Gerontech and Innovation Summit

On 22nd November 2018, exco member Dr Eliza Cheung joined the Opening Ceremony and Keynote Session of the Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES). As one of the supporting organizations of the GIES, HKCPA tried to educate the health sector and public that clinical psychologists are also playing a strong role in enhancing elderly well-being in a aging society.

20 Jul 2018Consultation on Kwai Tsing District Health Centre

On July 20, HKCPA was invited by Food and Health Bureau to attend a Consultation with Healthcare Professionals on District Health Centre in Kwai Tsing District.  Our exco member, Dr Eliza Cheung, attended the consultation on behalf of HKCPA.  We're happy to learn that awareness on mental well-being is rising in the community.

17 Jul 2018Passing on the Torch – A Talk for Trainees

On 17th July, Hong Kong Clinical Psychologists Association (HKCPA) and Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP), the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS) have joined together to offer a talk for 31 Clinical Psychology trainees of CUHK and HKU.

 Issues related to Accredited Registration, tips on job interviews and experience of working at NGO were shared by experienced clinical psychologists including Dr Candice Powell, Dr Eliza Cheung and Dr Charles Pau. It was an enjoyable night and the participants gained insights on becoming a clinical psychologist. 

23 Mar 2018Professional Seminar by Mr. Wilson Wong

A talk on civil liability for personal injury and professional misconduct was offered by Solicitor Mr Wilson Wong right before the Annual General Meeting. We thank Wilson for his precious sharing in enhancing members awareness on legal issues and professional conduct.

On 23 March 2018, the Annual General Meeting of HKCPA has been successfully held at Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters.

Dr Ephraem Tsui has left his role as an executive committee member because of retirement.  On behalf of HKCPA, Dr Eliza Cheung presented a certificate of appreciation to express our sincere gratitude towards his service over the years.  Moreover, Mr Alan CHAN Yuk Lun joined us to become a new executive committee member.

HKCPA is now Alliance Member of the Hong Kong Senior Government Officers Association (香港高級公務員協會). Government-employed clinical psychologist may also join HKSGOA as individual member.

21 Aug 2015New HKCPA Membership Card

New HKCPA Membership Card has been issued to all paid-up members since 1 Feb 2016. Members can use the card for a wide range of services & shopping at the Hong Kong Chinese Civil Servants' Association as well as the Hong Kong Professional Teachers Association.
